Splice is happy to share the news that sciNote Open Source Electronic Lab Notebook has been launched. We have supported sciNote throughout its successful Kickstarter campaign and we are excited to see that it is finally available to everyone for free.

"The amount of scientific data is already overwhelming and it doubles every three years. We created sciNote to help a modern scientist to effortlessly record their work and to share it with collaborators" explains Klemen Zupancic, co-founder of BioSistemika and sciNote project leader.

sciNote brings some fresh air into the current ELN market. It has been released under the open source license which will encourage the community to participate in the development of new features and modules. This will make sciNote extremely flexible and useful for every laboratory.

Klemen Zupancic concluded: "We want sciNote to become the platform for storing and managing all kinds of scientific data in a structured way. In other words, once your scientific result is in sciNote, you will always be able to find it, build upon it and share it with others in the scientific community."
