Projects We Believe In

At the end of the year it is time to look back and evaluate our work and make plans for the future. The 2015 has been busy for the Splice Blog and we are especially proud of the projects we have done or those we have supported. Here are the top three:

  1. sciNote – Open source scientific notebook: Splice likes the idea behind sciNote which is to make the source code available under the Open source licence. In this way, they encourage the community to participate and develop new modules for sciNote which will make it extremely flexible. In our opinion, sciNote brings some fresh air into the rather conservative ELN market. Splice has supported sciNote's Kickstarter campaign by sharing the news. We are happy to announce that the campaign has been successfully funded and is now reaching towards the $15 000 stretch goal.
  1. Webinar – Learn How to Pipette Like a Pro: Splice believes that mastering correct pipetting techniques is extremely important for everyone who works in a laboratory. Therefore we have already published the article ‘Pipetting Skills Test - How Good are You?’ and have supported the webinar by sharing the news. You can watch a webinar video here.
  1. Write for Splice: Splice cherishes high quality content and has a vision to attract even more experts from different fields of life sciences and IT to share their knowledge on Splice. In 2015 we have joined forces with Taylor Custom to reward the best articles published by our contributors.

All three projects were very successful and we are looking forward to the new ones in 2016!
